De Gouverneur
Just a stone's throw from Maastricht's iconic and remarkable city hall is the Gouverneur: a retro beer tavern where more than 300 speciality beers are kept cold, the menu is filled with delicacies for the true bourgondiër and it is always cosy.
Basilica
However you walk through the streets of Maastricht, you always end up at the imposing Vrijthof, the heart of Maastricht. The basilica of Saint Servatius and the blood-red St John's Tower mark the western side of the square. café basilica is located on the Vrijthof.

Café Zuid shares this beautiful spot on the river Meuse with theater group Maastricht, one of the eight major theatre companies in the Netherlands. You enter our theatre hall, the Bordenhal, through the glass corridor from the café.
